This policy explains how Quiet Vector handles information in connection with the Quiet Vector website and the PrivateLink application.
1. Quiet Vector website
The Quiet Vector website does not intentionally use advertising trackers, behavioural analytics, account registration or marketing cookies. The website is hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and security-related traffic data, as part of providing hosting, DNS, TLS and abuse-protection services.
2. PrivateLink
PrivateLink is designed for direct communication between two trusted Windows PCs. Quiet Vector does not operate a central messaging service for PrivateLink and does not receive or store the content of your PrivateLink messages, transferred files, images, audio calls or screen-sharing sessions.
Local data
PrivateLink may store application settings, trusted-peer information and message or transfer history locally on your Windows device. This local data remains under the control of the Windows user account and device on which PrivateLink is installed.
Peer connectivity
Communication content is exchanged between the participating devices. PrivateLink uses Tailscale/WireGuard networking for peer connectivity. Use of Tailscale is subject to Tailscale's own terms and privacy practices.
Telemetry and advertising
PrivateLink does not include Quiet Vector advertising, behavioural tracking or application telemetry.
3. Support communications
If you contact Quiet Vector by email, the information you choose to provide — such as your email address, message and attachments — may be used to respond to your support request and maintain necessary correspondence.
4. Data sharing
Quiet Vector does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers only where needed to operate the website, email support or networking services you independently use with PrivateLink.
5. Security
Quiet Vector designs PrivateLink to reduce unnecessary data exposure and to keep communication between trusted peers. No software or network can guarantee absolute security, and users remain responsible for the security of their Windows devices, Tailscale account and trusted-peer choices.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Quiet Vector products, website features or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.
